Integra Plus is an association of 5 Public Centres for Social Action (originally 5 municipalities and ongoing expansion of up to 7 municipalities which would be 50,000 inhabitants). The association and partnership are therefore based on a trans-community territorial approach, establishing an operational arrangement based on proximity and focusing on social and economic integration, training, employment and business creation in rural areas in the north of the Belgian province of Luxembourg.
This arrangement supports all public sectors, on the basis of a participatory approach, with particular attention being paid to the most vulnerable, based on a course tailored to the needs of the individual.
This approach consists of understanding the needs, as well as the current and future potential (skills) of the territory, the target audience and actors involved, by developing a capacity for observation, analysis and assessment, which will benefit the action.
By looking into actions and services developed as part of a prospective analysis, we hope to match the future challenges of the territory concerned and make them consistent with related policies and programmes (Region, Federal Government, EU).
Integra+ has been involved in building a proximity partnership (accessibility of services) since 1990, based on diversity and being complementary (intersectorial and multidisciplinary), in cooperation with other jurisdictions or similar initiatives in Wallonia and Europe (networking, information exchange, new skills and best practices).
