The Akadémia Vzdelàvania offers a broad portfolio of training, oriented towards the professional improvement of working people, the job search process, foreign language learning and the enrichment of knowledge in the field of leisure or personal interests.
The Akadémia Vzdelàvania is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental association of citizens, focused on learning for life, with a network of offices in all major cities in Slovakia. It is a member of several European networks of organisations involved in adult education. Over 90,000 people take classes in the various Akadémia Vzdelàvania branches. The network has more than 2,000 members who work actively within the organisations as facilitators, training managers, counsellors and in teacher training teams.
There is a wide range of training courses to suit everyone: refresher courses (economics, business creation, management, business service provision, arts and craft activities, social and legal business activities), foreign language courses, IT courses, professional and vocational training programmes, courses for school leavers, university studies, leadership training, seminars, citizenship training and classes for children.
The branch of Spišská Nová Ves specialises in re-sits/refresher courses, language training, IT and social work courses. It is considered one of the top three branches of any training academy network. It has 4 permanent employees and a team of temporary workers. About 500 people benefit from training received here every year.
